In the first 10 seconds, potential buyers will decide if your home could be their home. The longer they linger, the more interested they become. Staging your home to sell will help you grab them in those first critical seconds and provide interest to keep them lingering.

Your home may be beautifully decorated, for your style of living! Committing to a merchandising home staging strategy will make your home desirable to a wider range of buyers and help sell your home fast. Potential buyers will look for flaws, things they will use to lower the offer. With a properly staged and thoughtfully redesigned home you will not give them that opportunity!

Minor repairs are essential, leaking faucets, squeaky doors, torn screens, all add up in the buyer's head and are most likely overestimated in terms of cost. This is the basis they will use to reduce the offer.

When we prepare our staging plan, we do so with the perspective of the buyer and the seller in mind. We research current market trends, buyer and seller behavior trends and include use of the positive emotional triggers that precede a decision from the potential buyer.

Staging your home costs money. We will work with you to establish priorities and maximize your budget. There are creative ways to use your home staging dollars.

An upfront investment in home staging improves your opportunity to sell quickly. Statistics show the longer the time between listing and selling, the less likely it is you will receive your asking price. Staging your home gives you upside potential.

A Note On Buyer Behavior for Home Sellers

When you are selling your home, you want to understand and use to your advantage the psychology at work in the mind of the Buyer. So, as a Home Stager, I do that for you, using Perception and Behavior principles. As a Home Stager, who also teaches others through Home Staging Classes, I can teach you this principle too. Click Learn To Be A Stager above if you want to learn to do-it-yourself or go to my website The Real Estate Home Staging School.

Perception is how all of us see the world and our place in that world. Perception is our reality, right. So that belief of reality is shaped by our experience. The Buyer comes in with and creates "beliefs" as they look at the property. Those beliefs may not be an accurate reflection of what is real in the property. For example, a buyer walks through the front door and perception begins through the senses, smell, touch, taste, sight and sound. If they walk in and immediately they sense...this living room is too small for my family, is that reality OR is it poor room and floor space planning, flow or paint color selections? As a Home Stager I correct those perceptions for you.
